The total reopening of Hammersmith Bridge, estimated to value £250m, is being held up by a stalemate over funding between the council, Transport for London (TfL) and the Authorities. Cllr Sharon Holder, Hammersmith and Fulham Cupboard Member for the Public Realm, mentioned when saying the momentary cycle lane: “We’re dedicated to the total reopening of Hammersmith Bridge to motor automobiles together with buses, and we’re doing all in our powers to ship on that dedication. However we’re a small native authority, and we will need to have the monetary help of the DfT and Transport for London, in addition to an settlement to fund our share by way of a toll.”
