Sharples tried to crawl again towards the lounge however was pushed again by the extreme warmth, smoke and flaming projectiles, the free battery cells, which struck her legs and prompted burns, the lawsuit states.
She did escape by shattering the bed room window and crawling over to a neighbour’s balcony.
Sharples is now suing each the Surrey firm that serviced the battery, known as Royer Batteries, and the Ontario firm that bought the bike and charger — Daymak Inc. — together with the Chinese language producer.
