Two persons are lifeless after a home hearth in New Glasgow, N.S., on Saturday afternoon.
In response to a media launch on Sunday morning, police mentioned first responders, together with hearth departments from New Glasgow and several other close by areas, arrived at about 1:08 p.m. following a report of a home hearth on Nice Road.
“Upon arrival of emergency providers, the residence was filled with smoke and hearth,” New Glasgow police mentioned in an announcement.
“Two fatalities have been positioned that have been contained in the residence as hearth crews continued to extinguish the fireplace for a number of hours.”
Police mentioned no additional data concerning the fatalities shall be made public till their households are notified.
An investigation into the reason for the blaze is ongoing, as New Glasgow Police stay on the scene Sunday with help from Nova Scotia’s Workplace of Fireplace Marshal.
