Two males have died after being pulled from the water in separate incidents on Victoria’s Bass Coast on Friday, including to the state’s rising summer season drowning toll.
One other man was discovered lifeless in a Melbourne creek.
Victoria Police mentioned a person aged in his 20s died at Kilcunda Surf Seaside after he was swept out to sea close to the Bourne Creek Trestle Bridge about 8.30pm.
“Officers have been advised the person was with a gaggle of buddies within the water, when he tried to retrieve a pair of sun shades and was swept away,” police mentioned in an announcement. “Sadly, the person was discovered unresponsive on the seaside about an hour later.”
Close by on Phillip Island, a person was pulled from the water off Surf Seaside by passers-by simply after 3.30pm.
CPR was commenced, however the man, who’s but to be formally recognized, died on the scene. Police will put together a report for the coroner.
