President Vladimir V. Putin of Russia described talks with U.S. officers over two detained People, Evan Gershkovich, a reporter for The Wall Avenue Journal, and Paul Whelan, a former Marine and company government, as “troublesome.”

My colleague, the Wall Avenue Journal correspondent Evan Gershkovich has been held in Lefortovo Jail with no trial for 37 weeks. His detention was immediately, once more, the extension on his detention was immediately, once more, upheld. Paul Whelan, one other U.S. citizen, has been in jail for almost 5 years. A spokesman for the U.S. State Division, which considers each males wrongfully detained, lately stated that Moscow had rejected what it referred to as a considerable supply to return each of them to america.
