Runaway Indian practice speeds previous station with out driver

Footage reveals a freight practice with out a driver on board rushing via a station in northern India.

Indian Railways has ordered an investigation after the unmanned practice, which was on its option to Punjab from Jammu, travelled greater than 70km (43.4 miles).

Officers say it started shifting down a sloping monitor after the driving force and his assistant obtained off for a crew change.

The 53-wagon practice, carrying stone chips, moved at a pace of almost 100km/h (round 62mph) and managed to cross about 5 stations earlier than it was dropped at a halt.

”The practice was stopped after a railway official positioned wooden blocks on the tracks to cease the practice,” officers instructed the Press Belief of India (PTI) information company.

Authorities closed off railway crossings alongside its path, and no-one was harm.
