Rescue officers in Uttarakhand on Saturday started preparations to drill a vertical gap from the highest of a hill beneath which 40 employees have been trapped for seven days, PTI reported.
Part of an under-construction tunnel on the Brahmakhal-Yamunotri nationwide freeway collapsed within the early hours of November 12, trapping the employees inside. The tunnel is a part of the Char Dham Highway Challenge to construct all-weather roads in Uttarakhand.
The Border Roads Organisation’s Main Naman Narula mentioned that officers have recognized some extent on the high of the tunnel, from the place drilling will start quickly. He mentioned that rescue employees are attempting to make a vertical observe of 1,000 to 1,100 metres from the highest of the tunnel.
