The RCMP is reviewing an interplay that had a Insurgent Information commentator David Menzies arrested whereas making an attempt to ask Finance Minister Chrystia Freeland a query outdoors an occasion.
Sgt. Kim Chamberland says the RCMP is “trying into the incident” and the actions of the concerned events, and declined additional remark.
A video posted by Insurgent Information exhibits Menzies asking Freeland questions on a sidewalk after which instructed he’s being arrested for assault for pushing into the officer, whereas Menzies replies the officer ran into him.
Clint Whitney, a spokesperson for York Regional Police, says Menzies was arrested by the RCMP safety element on the occasion, which occurred on Monday in Richmond Hill, Ont.
He says the York police helped with the arrest, after which it was decided there was no credible safety risk and Menzies was launched unconditionally.
Menzies didn’t instantly reply to a request for remark Tuesday night time, whereas Freeland’s workplace didn’t remark.
