An Edmonton Police Service officer was injured in a collision whereas responding to a unique name on town’s northeast facet late Monday afternoon.
Police stated the crash occurred on the intersection of Manning Drive approaching 137 Avenue round 3:50 p.m.
The marked police automobile was travelling south on Manning Drive with lights and sirens activated, when on the south facet of the intersection it was hit on the passenger facet by a automobile travelling east on 137 Avenue, police stated.
The officer was taken to hospital by paramedics with non-life-threatening accidents and the motive force of the opposite automobile was not damage, police stated.
The EPS main collision investigation part responded and consequently, some lanes had been closed.
As of 5:30 p.m., police stated southbound visitors on Manning Drive at 137 Avenue was down to at least one lane, and eastbound visitors on 137 Avenue was being rerouted southbound on Manning Drive with the intersection closed.
