Oklahoma was hit by a 5.1 magnitude earthquake Friday night time close to Oklahoma Metropolis, in response to the U.S. Geological Survey.
The earthquake shook the realm at 11:24 p.m., the USGS reported. The earthquake was centered 4.9 miles northwest of Prague, Oklahoma, which is positioned about 57 miles east of Oklahoma Metropolis.
Residents of Prague, Oklahoma Metropolis, Shawnee, Stillwater and Tecumseh reported feeling the earthquake, KFOR-TV reported.

The earthquake was shallow, at simply 1.8 miles deep, in response to the USGS. Temblors that hit near the floor could make the shaking extra intense.
This comes after at the very least six earthquakes, together with two larger than magnitude 4.0, had been recorded close to one other Oklahoma Metropolis suburb final month.
In April, a magnitude 4.0 earthquake was amongst six that struck the central Oklahoma city of Carney, which is positioned about 40 miles northeast of Oklahoma Metropolis.
