North Okanagan highschool on ‘maintain and safe’ after potential weapon criticism: RCMP – Okanagan


Kalamalka Secondary college students have been placed on a “maintain and safe” Tuesday morning after issues a couple of close by weapon have been raised.

RCMP mentioned the incident unfolded at round 10:30 a.m., and “out of an abundance of warning,” faculty administration initiated a maintain and safe protocol to make sure the security of the workers and college students.

Officers attended the college to assist the security measures and conduct their investigation. They didn’t provide additional details about specifics associated to the potential risk, comparable to what sort of weapon was suspected to be within the space or how the criticism was raised.
