Jackson Boxer, the chef behind Orasay and Brunswick Home is injecting among the outdated edge and vitality into the strip together with his new bar Under Stone Nest, simply down Charing Cross Street. ‘Rising up in London, central was the place we went to fulfill, to drink, to bop. Astoria, Moonlighting, Madame JoJo’s, Garlic & Photographs, Crowbar, Gaz’s, Trash… this was the place we did plenty of our rising up, and so little of it stays,’ Boxer remembers. ‘The aim of Under was to revive to central London an informal place, welcoming and reasonably priced to younger individuals, with a progressive music coverage and a pleasant and relaxed vibe, to present all of London someplace to fulfill, drink, dance and reside fantastically, if just for these few ecstatic moments.’
