The Manipur authorities on Wednesday allowed the Congress to flag off its Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra from Imphal’s Palace Floor with solely a restricted variety of contributors.
The march might be flagged off on January 14 and is slated to finish on March 20.
An order by the Imphal East district Justice of the Peace stated that with a view to forestall any untoward incidents or regulation and order disturbances, “solely flagging off of the Yatra with restricted variety of contributors is hereby allowed”.
Earlier within the day, the Congress had claimed that authorities had denied permission to launch the march from the bottom, and that it was on the lookout for different venues.
“The Chief Minister has declined to situation the ‘floor permission’ for launching the rally scheduled on January 14,” Manipur Congress chief Ok Meghachandra Singh had stated, reported The Indian Categorical. “The one cause he gave was the delicate regulation and order state of affairs.”

Since Could 3, the northeastern state has been marred by ethnic violence between the Kukis and the Meities. Over 200 individuals have been killed within the state for the reason that ethnic battle began and practically 60,000 individuals have been compelled to flee their properties.
The Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra might be led by Congress chief Rahul Gandhi. The march will cowl 15 states: Manipur, Nagaland, Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, West Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Gujarat and Maharashtra.
