Iran intends to make use of fossil gas cash to construct new NPPs, VP says

At present, Iran’s sole nuclear energy plant in operation is the
1st unit of the Bushehr Nuclear Energy Plant.

Unit 1 of the Bushehr NPP was launched in 2011 by the Russian
Atomic Firm (ROSATOM). In 2013, ROSATOM handed over the
operation of the unit to an Iranian firm. The unit has been
producing 1,000 megawatt-hours of electrical energy per 12 months since
2013.
