Iran hopes to hurry up border delimitation in Caspian Sea, following Baku assembly



BAKU, Azerbaijan, December 5. Iran hopes for
acceleration of border delimitation within the Caspian Sea after the
assembly in Baku, Iranian Overseas Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian
mentioned, Development

He spoke at a gathering of international ministers of Caspian littoral
states in Moscow.

”The Conference on the Authorized Standing of the Caspian Sea defines
the rights and obligations and the final framework of cooperation
between the 5 littoral nations within the 4 maritime zones. The
software of sovereignty, sovereign rights and unique
collective jurisdiction in these zones requires the drawing of
baselines as a foundation for delimiting the exact boundaries of
inland waters, territorial waters, fishing zones and shared water
areas,” he mentioned.

Amir-Abdollahian famous that though six rounds of conferences and
negotiations have been held to finalize this course of, it has been
gradual in progress.

”We hope that the seventh assembly of this working group will probably be
held in Baku quickly and can convey applicable outcomes,” he mentioned.
