IGB operator assigns contractor for design of GMS Stara Zagora to permit capability growth



BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 5. Following a
tender process below the Public Procurement Act, ICGB is awarding
a Bulgarian firm with the contract for detailed design scope for
GMS2 Stara Zagora that may enable capability growth of the
Interconnector Greece-Bulgaria (IGB), ICGB informed Development.

The transmission system operator goals at upgrading the Gasoline
Metering Station in Stara Zagora to spice up its technical capability
from 3 bcm/y to five bcm/y.

The Greece-Bulgaria interconnector connects Bulgaria to the
Southern Gasoline Hall and is a part of the Vertical Gasoline Hall. The
pipeline strengthens the power connectivity and safety within the
area, offering entry to pure gasoline from new, diversified
sources.
