The group strongly condemned Harvard’s response to pro-Palestinian protests on campus, claiming that college students ”had been subjected to a concerted and escalating marketing campaign of harassment, intimidation, and racist hate speech due to their advocacy for Palestinian rights.” 

FSJP pointed to circumstances of undergraduate college students being disciplined for taking part in protests and Harvard’s invitation for the Cambridge police and FBI to analyze pro-Palestinian actions on the faculty.

The group additionally referred to as for Harvard to divest any and all monetary ties to Israel and endorsed the anti-Israel Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions (BDS) motion amid Israel’s ongoing warfare with Hamas.

Interim Harvard President Alan Garber on Friday introduced the institution of two job forces to fight antisemitism and Islamophobia on Harvard’s campus. 

He stated the duty forces would study current incidents of bias, establish its root causes and suggest the best way to mitigate it.
