A fireplace which burned dangerously near houses in Gwelup on Sunday is believed to have began when a fowl flew into energy traces.
The out-of-control fireplace was sparked round 5.30pm and compelled residents to evacuate as flames reached 15 metres excessive.
Video captured the flames towering over timber, with scorch marks on the fence boundaries of some properties.
