From the New Romantics to the Teddy Boys, ruffled blouses turned the sartorial insignia of a number of subcultures in the course of the twentieth century. Impressed by the eclectic vogue fashion of the brand new wave music scene, the London-based Blitz Youngsters adopted the fabulously frothy piece within the Seventies.
