Child Overdoses on Fentanyl in Florida, Mom Arrested


A girl in Fort Myers, Florida, was arrested after her child allegedly overdosed on fentanyl and later regained a pulse with CPR, police mentioned.

Fort Myers Police Officers responded on Sunday at 1:34 a.m. to a name a few child who was not respiration, WINK Information reported. Officers met with the caller, the newborn’s 38-year-old mom Mary Sinopoli, on the facet of the highway close to Lee Tran Boulevard and Metro Parkway.

“Sinopoli mentioned she was driving the newborn to the hospital when she met officers and informed them the newborn was enjoying with a pet toy when he fell asleep. Then he stopped respiration,” in response to the report. “They noticed the lifeless child with no pulse and commenced CPR. The newborn regained a pulse as EMS arrived on scene, in response to the report. First responders then administered Narcan as a result of the newborn was displaying indicators of an overdose, officers mentioned.

Detectives subsequently executed a search warrant of the residence the place the newborn turned unresponsive. Detectives discovered proof of fentanyl within the residence, and testing revealed fentanyl within the child’s blood stream.

Sinopoli was arrested and is going through an aggravated youngster abuse cost.
