Jerusalem:
Al Jazeera community went off the air in Israel Sunday, AFP correspondents stated, after the federal government introduced a call to close the Qatar-based broadcaster’s operations following a long-running feud.
Hours after Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s authorities introduced the closure order for an preliminary interval of 45 days, the display on Al Jazeera’s Arabic and English channels went black with a message in Hebrew saying they’d ”been suspended in Israel”, the correspondents stated.
