A passenger aboard an Air Canada flight from Toronto to Dubai opened a cabin door and fell to the tarmac earlier than takeoff Monday night, injuring themselves and inflicting prolonged delays.
The airplane, a Boeing 777, was sitting on the tarmac at Toronto Pearson Worldwide Airport getting ready for takeoff when the incident happened.
Air Canada confirmed to International Information that through the boarding of flight AC056, a passenger “who had boarded the plane usually,” opened a cabin door on the alternative aspect of the plane, as an alternative of going to their seat whereas the plane was on the gate.
