About 600 assist workers from the École de Technologie Supérieure (ÉTS) in Montreal walked out on a one-day strike on Wednesday.
Included are technicians, professionals, workplace staff, trades and companies, who’ve an indefinite common strike mandate. They’re members of a neighborhood part of the Canadian Union of Public Workers (CUPE), affiliated with the FTQ.

ÉTS is a part of the Université du Québec community and focuses on engineering.
The union says the problems in dispute are salaries, teleworking preparations, inside promotions and recognition of abilities.
The collective settlement expired on March 31, 2022; negotiations started the next November.
