3 individuals lifeless, 1 hospitalized after explosion at Ohio auto store

Three individuals are lifeless and one individual is hospitalized after an explosion at an auto restore store in Hillsboro, Ohio, authorties stated. 

CBS affiliate WKRC reported that the explosion occurred at Jimbo’s Auto Restore at round 4 p.m. native time on Tuesday, Nov. 28. By 8:30 p.m., three individuals had been confirmed lifeless, in line with WKRC. 

One witness, who was working inside a liquor retailer subsequent door to the auto restore store, informed WKRC that it felt like ”an earthquake,” and reported listening to a ”massive increase.” The witness stated she and her coworkers went outdoors to see what was occurring. 

”We hear one other increase after which we see fireplace so all of us step again … in seconds there was one other increase and energy Iines and glass breaking,” she stated. 

A firefighter informed WKRC that he had felt the explosion on the firehouse, which he stated was ”4, 5 blocks away” from the auto restore store.” 

Firefighters didn’t have details about the names or ages of those that had died, WKRC stated. Paint Creek Joint EMS/Hearth District Chief David Manning informed the station the hospitalized sufferer, who has additionally not been recognized, is in secure situation.

It is not clear what induced the explosion. The Ohio State Hearth Marshal’s Workplace is investigating the incident, in line with native newspaper Highland County Press.
