I like the altering of seasons, Reader.
Not simply because I stay in Melbourne and I get to see and luxuriate in all 4 seasons (typically in sooner or later…), but additionally as a result of it’s a mirrored image of how life will be. Or somewhat, a reminder of how life is.
So just lately I’ve attended a lot of funerals, and it’s bought me pondering quite a bit about ageing…and dying. Nothing is definite and tomorrow isn’t promised.
Which is why subsequent week I’m taking my 13yo daughter Woman AB to Canada. Right here’s the story…
As a toddler, I beloved studying and watching Anne of Inexperienced Gables, and visiting Prince Edward Island has at all times been a childhood dream.
My 13yo daughter is now studying the identical worn field set of Anne of Inexperienced Gables books that I bought on my fifteenth birthday. At some point I mentioned to her “Hey sooner or later we might go to PEI collectively – possibly while you’re 18?”
