Bharatiya Janata Celebration chief and former Deputy Prime Minister LK Advani will probably be conferred the Bharat Ratna, India’s highest civilian award, Prime Minister Narendra Modi introduced on Saturday.

The announcement to confer the Bharat Ratna to 96-year-old Advani comes simply weeks after the inauguration of the Ram temple in Ayodhya.
