A novel Christmas tree is sprouting pleasure in a southeast Calgary neighbourhood.
Meals author Julie Van Rosendaal stumbled upon a big weed rising between the cracks beneath the prepare bridge connecting Inglewood and Ramsay. In a second of inspiration, she determined to come back again and beautify it throughout the vacation season.
“At one level I believed… that appears like a tree. I don’t wish to pull it, I’ll beautify it. I hung one small decoration, after which I went again with a garland,” stated Van Rosendaal. From there, the adorning efforts snowballed.
Van Rosendaal shared her heartwarming mission, dubbing the plant “The Christmas Weed.” It blew up on social media, with 1000’s of individuals liking and commenting on the weed’s journey.
