A hearse-style automobile caught hearth because it was reportedly travelling to a funeral.

The hearth is first stated to have been reported at round 1.20pm on Monday, December 11. Fireplace crews from Craven Arms and Church Stretton attended the incident, says Shropshire Fireplace and Rescue Service.

The incident comes only a week after an identical incident in Co Cork, Eire. A hearse carrying a casket from Cork to Dublin caught hearth after a suspected fault.
It’s understood the Irish hearse was not carrying human stays.
