RCMP in Maskwacis are investigating two separate homicides involving home fires in as many days.
On Dec. 18, at round 11:30 p.m., there was a home hearth on Samson Cree Nation.
The hearth division put the fireplace out and located human stays inside the home, RCMP mentioned.
An post-mortem was performed on Dec. 21 and the way of dying was deemed murder.
Alberta RCMP Main Crimes Unit has taken over the investigation.
Then, on Dec. 20, at round 10:30 a.m., RCMP responded to a home hearth at a vacant residence on Samson Cree Nation.
